Presidents Address March 2019
Ladies,
This is my opportunity to thank the Committee on your behalf for all the time, trouble and hard work they
have give to our WI over the past year.
It has been another successful, and I hope you think, an interesting year and your Committee has made
this possible. Membership has increased and the bank balance is looking healthy.
Thank you to Chris for the outings and market stalls. Vicky for the most difficult role (I think) of
Treasurer. Yvonne for the brilliant work on publicity and media which has raised our profile
enormously. And Sue for work on the MCS and the amazing cakes.
Although she is not with us at the moment, I also want to mention and say thank you to Stella who until
towards the end of last year was our minutes secretary. Unfortunately she is not well at the moment but
I'm sure you will all join me in wishing her well and a swift recovery and hope that she will be back with
us in the near future.
Lastly, a very special mention to our secretary and Vice President Pam, who has gladly given me heroic
support, guidance and advice throughout the year.
Thank you all for helping and supporting our efforts, I hope you have enjoyed them.
I hope we go on to have another year of learning, fun, and laughter and I look forward to it.
Thank you.
